Day 5(Akkerbos Ride):

Scout the trail to two old Oaktree forests dating back to the 1700/1800’s.  Legend has it that the first of these trees were originally planted by the stagecoach drivers that scouted and developed these transport routes from Historic Cape Town, through these areas.

The aim back then, was to create these forests as sheltered areas where the travellers could overnight.

Lunch will be served in the deep shade of these old giants.  The ride ends back at Oudebosch Homestead. The last Dinner will be a Grand Traditional South African Braai, laden with various traditional favourite dishes.
